Congressman Charlie Gonzalez, Chairman of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus, on what this election is all about:
“You’ve heard often about what direction we’re going to take and we’re going to decide if we are still the “United” States of America or not. Are we a community? Do we understand that we’re in this together? I think that has been the message of the President since Day 1. Obviously there are people out there that will try to define us by our differences. That is not a good America. I think what the President has been attempting to do is understanding that we are in it together, and that your success will be my success. And if we have that understanding and we feel vested in one another, that is what you call strength and that’s what President Obama is all about.”
Congressman Gonzalez is standing up for President Obama. Can you help? Volunteer to help get out the vote at http://www.barackobama.com/gotv.
